Experiment Execution Guide

Starting an Experiment

Step One - Experiment Configuration: Configure and launch the experiment. See the Configuration Guide for more details. Select the correct session from the session select menu.

Step Two - Log in: Have all participants sign up and log in on the jMarkets website, then select the correct session.

Step Three - Begin Experiment: Once all subjects are connected, click the Start Experiment button to begin.

Period Time Remaining: How much time is left in the period, in seconds.

Offer Backlog: Number of offers waiting for the server to process.

Client Monitor: Shows first and last name of each subject, their connection status, and number of orders made (period or total?).

Price Chart: Graphs the price of each stock over time (in seconds).

Logging Monitor: Shows system logs of experiment.

Metrics: Shows the number of offers and transactions made (sorted by number of orders) and time for server to process.

Start Experiment: Press to begin the experiment.

Start Period: When in Manual Advancement mode, press to begin the next period.

Stop Experiment: End the experiment.

Automatic/Manual Adv. Toggle between Automatic and Manual period advancement. Button displays the current mode.
